Sarah began dancing at the age of 6 in her home town of Cochrane, Alberta. Training in many styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, modern and contemporary, she found her true passion and love in ballet. She went on to train at the School of Alberta Ballet’s professional division on scholarship where she completed her Cecchetti Advanced II exam and performed in various ballet’s including Don Quixote, Gisele and The Firebird. Sarah spent her summers training at various intensives such as the Banff Center’s Summer Dance Program, The Joffrey Midwest Workshop and Joffrey New York Summer Intensive. After high school she entered the Professional Graduate Program at the School of Alberta Ballet to train under the guidance of Murray and Nancy Kilgour. She was later awarded a full scholarship to train at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City where she spent one year training and performing. Sarah has recently moved to Edmonton to complete her degree in Elementary Education at the University of Alberta and is excited to share her love and passion for dance with the students of Riverbend Dance Academy!
