Emily discovered her love of dance fourteen years ago. She was inspired by great teachers in the disciplines of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Ukrainian. At an early age she was known as a Musical Theatre kid which led her to pursue drama at the University of Alberta. She has recently graduated with a bachelor of Education in Drama and Physical Education. Her passion of Ukrainian dance was the driving force for joining the Ukrainian Shumka Dancers, where she was privileged to have worked with Jean Marc Gernereux, Brian Webb and many outstanding Ukrainian choreographers. She has taught dance for over 10 years. Where she has inspired many young dancers and won choreography awards along the way. She is excited to be a part of Riverbend Dance Academy this year and share her love of dance with her new students.
